Progesteron 25 Mg / 1 Ml Solution For Injection Im-Iv

PROGESTERONE is a natural progestogen with actions and uses similar to those described for the progestogens in general. 
It is usually administered as an oily intramuscular injection or as pessaries or suppositories. 
In dysfunctional uterine bleeding 5 to 10mg daily is normally given by intramuscular injection for about 5 to 10 days before the anticipated onset of menstruation. 
Intramuscular injection in doses of 10 to 20mg twice weekly has also been used for habitual abortion. 
Intramuscular daily doses of 50mg for nulliparous women and 100mg for parous women have been used in the management of the premenstrual syndrome stating at about the twelfth day of the menstrual cycle and continuing until the onset of menstruation. 
Progesterone has also been incorporated into an intra-uterine device for female contraception. 
PROGESTERONE
- is indicated for the supplementation of insufficient secretion of progesterone in women participating in fertilisation programmes. 
- Sterility by luteal insufficiency
- Artificial cycle, uteral hypoplasy, by parenteral treatment
